FAQ and Information
Make-up Classes
Make-Up classes are not guaranteed, but we try and be as flexible, when feasible. If you have to miss a class, please check the schedule (per your studio) through this link here, and you may attend a different comparable class during that given week (subject to there is space in the class). Please show up a few minutes prior to the start of the class in order to request attending that class and to meet the instructor.
Note: students Must attend their week 1 class
Open Studio Hours
We highly encourage students to come in and work on their craft during open studio hours for pottery classes. Open studio hours at both SF studios are:
Monday-Thursday: 10am-6pm
Friday-Saturday- 10am-9pm
Sunday- 10am-7:30pm
There is no sign in process, but please look at your studio's physical board to check space availability before working.
Fees and What's Included?
Unless noted, all classes include include all materials (i.e. clay, wood) and services (i.e. firing) as part of the class price. Studio tools are also available to be used by all students throughout the 6-weeks
Our Approach to Classes
We believe in providing a relaxed but structured class format that is intimate and a hands-on class experience. Meaning all of our classes are capped at 10 students- allowing you to get your 1:1 support from your instructor for you to be successful, however you may define that.
Almost all of our instructors are full-time employees at Clayroom, meaning your instructor will likely be around the studio during open studio hours in case you need help or support.
Our hope is that this class series brings you joy through making and learning and that you have created new connections with your fellow students/members
